Welcome to the Residential Code material and tool reviews, I will cover materials I have used in the past and new products as they hit the market. I will also have reviews of tools I have used and type of tools I recommend.
Materials are the products needed to make a project including lumber, insulation, fixtures, finishes, coverings, and lawn and garden supplies. As I release the project pages there will be a material list that will link to the product reviews. I am constantly trying new products so this will be updated on a regular basis.
Tools and equipment are required to get the project completed in a safe and timely manner. I will cover basic tools needed for most home improvement projects so you can get started. I will then cover more advanced tools and equipment that will make larger projects easier to accomplish. From hand tools to shop equipment I will offer what I have found to be essential to have. I have purchased some tools that I rarely use and I will cover why they did not work for me and what I use instead.
The reviews will be started in late 2016. I will start with basic tool reviews and new products as I use them on projects.
